Before & After Dining Room

Before

After

The Jane Churchill Wallpaper in our dining room is a big hit with everyone that comes over! Ladies, Gents -- they always comment on how they love it! It is a deep raspberry color and really a perfect color for entertaining – makes you want to eat more and have another glass of wine!

I really liked the original crown molding throughout the house, but since they put up all new ceilings, the original was ripped down. So I took a piece of the original and matched it pretty closely at Anderson Mcquid – a really great place for unique frames and moldings.

I can't believe it will be one year this June that we moved into our house. After the major renovation of this 2,000 sf house, we still have a ton of decorating to do! I picked out an amazing Lelievre silk blend, textured fabric, which is the same color as the ground of this JC wallpaper, for the soon to be drapes. We were lucky enough to get the dining table and hutch from my parents, very Baker looking and the rug from another relative. Thank goodness for family! I like the rug, still it needs to be moved out of this room, too busy for the dining room. In the meantime, I need to protect the newly refinished floors, so it will stay for now!

Fuchsia Finds

Alexander McQueen

Hot Pink and Fuchsia are all the rage this spring/summer 09. Which I am very excited about! I am a pink lady, the color just makes me happy. I realize this is a little "Elle Woods," still have you ever noticed that everyone looks good in this color -- it is a very flattering color on all skin tones!

A couple of weeks ago I had lunch with my friend Harley, after we went by her family run shop, Alan Bilzerian's. I came across the most spectacular fuchsia Alexander McQueen dress. They didn't have the exact one online for me to show, however I did find this fantastic Asymmetric AM dress that is equally a fun and fabulous. Below are some other fuchsia finds!

Stay tuned this week, for an interiew with the fantastic Harley Bilzerian and her stylist tips!

Stark: Rug Crush

This is my latest rug crush, a find from Stark...I am think getting this and basing my living room off of this geometric, blue dream of a rug...

Ice-Bag Wine Chiller

While getting my daily dose of the Patricia Gray's fabulous blog, I came across this cool new product!
Do you need a gift for a host or a Bachelorette gift? This is it!

The Ice-Bag Wine Chiller is a new product that has just hit the North American Market. It is a clear plastic wine tote and chiller that is reusable. It is completely water tight and portable. With it's sleek design and trend-setting appeal the Ice Bag Wine Chiller is an alternative to the ice bucket. And talking about trend setting, this Ice-Bag Wine Cooler has been used at venues such as the Ascot Racetrack, to high profile concerts (Madonna, Elton John, George Michael). How fun to display your wine or champagne in this Ice Bag Wine Chiller. I think that it would be great to use for weddings, special events, or your next party. It is even customizable with your own logo.

For the coolest drinks in town, re-usable Ice-Bag Wine Chiller. Please go to Patricia Gray's Website to order, her friend is distributing them.

Loving Minton-Spidell

Align Left
Don't you just love this Italian Credenza!
The pacific heights flat, I just finished is being photographed this weekend. I used the below Viscaya Sofa, in a "tea room." I was revisiting Minton-Spidell Site today, below are some of the gorgeous pieces at Minton-Spidell. This line has some of the best finishes (over 90), patina and detail -- I wish, I could use these future investment pieces in all my projects.

Sardinia Style

One of my favorite vacations was in Italy -- starting in Portofino, then to Rome, then Florence, then ending with a the last five days in Sardinia, Porto Cervo. It was an amazing 3 weeks and I have to say that Sardinia was the perfect place to end the vacation. So relaxing. I thought I would share some scenic picture from trip and pulled some local flair images. The architecture in Sardinia is amazing, just rugged elegance. I love this island -- highly recommend for some R&R!
