Hajime Namiki Dogwood Print

I used to pass this Japanese print by artist Hajime Namiki, on Fillmore street, it was in the T.Z. Shiota Gallery window. Last week, I called them to purchase some pieces for a client and heard the sad news that the owner is retiring and they are closing after 30 years.
Enjoy the Dogwood Print! It is even more stunning in person!

Tastemakers Katie Ridder & Peter Pennoyer

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Pennoyer and Anne Walker, when we hosted a book signing party at Michael Taylor Designs for their book, The Architecture of Warren & Wetmore.

Last summer when Elle featured there Westchester home renovation, I fell in love with the decor. The mix of Middle Eastern and quirky modern, is so chic and casual. Peter Pennoyer is married to famous New York interior designer Katie Ridder -- another reason why this house is so amazing!

Fun Laundry Room & Kitchen!

I can't stand doing laundry! One upside of not having a washer and dryer while living in SF, was wash & fold - with free nightly drop offs! However, when I was looking through Allison Caccoma's portfolio and came across the above fun laundry room, I thought...this room would make laundry less of a choir! Here is more of Allison's fabulous work, this kitchen below is featured in this months House Beautiful. Enjoy!

Affordable Designer Lighting

While shopping for my clients I came across this amazing and affordable, lighting and accessory company. All the lamps here are between $275 - 520.00 per lamp, shade included. Also, there are over 60 different fabrics to choose from, for the lamp shade! Lamps can be the perfect design element to tie a room together! What do you think of these?

My Top Two Gradual Self Tanners

Ever since I got sun poisoning on a 2 week sailing trip through the Florida Keys, I have stayed out of the sun. I still have not gone spray tanning, I am convinced I would find a way to mess it up! Still, I like having a little glow in the summer, these are my two favorite gradual self tanners. They are impossible to mess up and they have no scent.
*Radiance-Plus Self Tanning Cream-Gel for Face
*Radiance-Plus Self Tanning Daily Moisturizer

Fun & Sophisticated

Jay Jeffers and I worked for the same designer in San Francisco. Back in 03', Jay left to pursue his career and I took his place assisting this designer, in the a very posh Presidio heights design office. Then a couple years later, 06', I had the pleasure of meeting him at the San Francisco, DINING BY DESIGN event. He is so absolutely adorable, witty and the nicest guy ever! We had a great time chatting and dancing that night...just talking about our experiences in design and what a long road it is...and how basically our former office rivaled The Devil Wears Prada! LOL! (not because of the designer, other in-house people, not the poodles ;))

Jay now is a HUGE west coast designer and his work is just as fabulous and fun as he is! I have been thinking of Jay since my dailycandy.com article, he would say "Lady... it's all happening!
Here is some of Jays work, and of course I love it!

Skater + Interior Designer = Ultra Cool

My dream workspace. Envelope A & D's office
Usually I pick out something girly and fun for an office. Still, in reality this is the kind of space I would work best in! Lots of space, to spread out, a huge cork board (*left) ahhhh how i love cork boards! For now, the sun porch and extra bedroom will need to hold me...
What happens when a skater marries an interior designer...?
The New York Times recently featured the San Francisco home of interior designer Claire Bigbie and skateboarder/musician Jay Shapiro. This Noe Valley Flat renovation is ultra cool, in San Francisco - lets take this project off the grid kinda way.
This place rocks.

Again, another amazing work space!
